adhesivo contemporary

adhesivo contemporary presents the collective exhibition Servicio a domicilio featuring the artists: Camila Buxeda, Karlo Andrei Ibarra, José Lerma, Héctor Madera, Natalia Sánchez, Yiyo Tirado Rivera, co-curated by Héctor Madera.

The exhibition seeks to make us reflect on the complexity of identities within the socio-cultural and political context that Puerto Rico is experiencing.

Servicio a domicilio is the title of the most recent collective exhibition of contemporary adhesive. It corresponds to a curatorial work outlined from a system of collaboration and joint reflection where Puerto Rican artists of different generations intertwine.

When we think of the concept of home delivery, we think of the way and feasibility of bringing either a product and/or a service to a place in situ, which allows the enjoyment of said products without having to travel. In the exhibition context, the title of the show evokes the geographical and political context from which the works and artists in the show come from, which is precisely from Puerto Rico, a context with identity complexities rooted in its colonial political context and a place or better Said a non-place that can only be reached by air or by cruise in tourist mode.

Servicio a domicilio is motivated by questions about the origin and its cultural and aesthetic values.

From different denominators and factors, this fortuitous encounter also obeys the canon that is raised through human relationships such as friendship and rapprochement or rather the sighting of both human and artistic experience as well as its axioms that as a result directly allude to the questioning of our respective social, economic and political realities.

How the saying "If Muhammad does not go to the mountain, the mountain goes to Muhammad" proceeds.
